Dues include membership in the National Railway Historical Society.

Friends of the Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum Information
Friends of the Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum are people who support the
educational and preservation efforts of the museum as a positive force in the
Eastern Connecticut community. Friends are not eligible to vote during meetings
or become an officer, but are encouraged to volunteer at the museum and serve on
committees.

Monthly Meetings
Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month at the
Windham Community Memorial Hospital, 112 Mansfield Ave, Willimantic, Ct. The
1st Sunday meeting is devoted to a discussion of Museum operations and future
planning. The 3rd Sunday meeting includes a short business meeting followed by
a program covering a railroad-oriented subject.
Volunteer Opportunities
Work at the museum is performed on Saturdays and such other days as
members are available to work on the many projectes in progress. projects may
include such areas as: restoration of buildings or equipment, trackwork,
general maintenance, museum planning, and other areas. For those unable to
perform heavy work, the museum needs ticket sellers and tour guides to show
visitors around the museum.
