September 8 2007 Road trip to Putnam, CT.

Thanks to the P&W Railroad for donating some 80 lb. rail to our museum. A few members volunteered to remove about 2000 feet of the rail from their old yard in Putnam. It was HAZY, HOT and Very Very HUMID. But worth it!

Here Bill is heaving on one of our 20 pound wrenches to loosen the bolts.

Bob is trying some penetrating oil to free the nuts, if this doesn't work then the nuts will be cut off.

Adrian brought the heavy equipment, makes moving 800 lbs of rail a lot easier.
